Udyam Parichay

India is going to have a relatively large share of working age population in the coming decades, which is referred to as demographic advantage. In order to convert this advantage into a demographic dividend, we need to create opportunities for existing as well as new labour force to have gainful employment.

As per National Sample Survey estimate, there are 6.34 crore micro, small and medium enterprises in our country, who engage around 11.50 crore persons for employment. There are 4.5 crore job seekers registered in National Career Service (NCS) portal of Ministry of Labour and Employment. In order to provide an opportunity for creating a bridge between the job seekers and job providers, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has come with a portal named “Udyam Parichay” to be launched on 27th June, 2018.
